Our Story

Hi, I’m Nate — the founder of Girl Dad Organics, husband to an amazing wife, and dad to three incredible daughters.

Girl Dad Organics started at home, out of a very simple concern: what my family was putting on their skin — and whether it was helping, or actually harming them.

It began with lip balm. My wife and one of my daughters were struggling with chapped lips and couldn’t find a natural option that truly worked. Most products only masked the problem. Once the balm wore off, their lips were just as chapped as before.

I knew there had to be a better way.

I started researching clinical studies and ingredient science, using that research as the foundation for my first formulations. The goal was simple — to make something that actually worked, something that actually healed. The result? The difference was immediate. Instead of just coating the skin, the balm helped repair it.

As my daughters got older, more skincare products started showing up on our bathroom counter. I began reading labels more closely — and I didn’t love what I saw. Chemicals, harsh ingredients, unnecessary additives, and products that left skin feeling stripped or irritated.

So I kept going.

What started as one lip balm turned into makeup remover wipes, acne-fighting products, and a facial moisturizer — all made with the same philosophy: natural ingredients that perform and leave the skin nourished and healthy.

My clinical background in healthcare (diagnostic medical sonographer) helped me to peruse journal articles and understand the physiology and how naturally derived ingredients interact with the skin and with each other. My experience as an accomplished home chef helped me to perfect the mixing of ingredients, temperature control,  blending, and emulsification. Through trial, error, and constant real-world feedback, each formula was refined until it was something I felt confident using on my own family -- and sharing with others.

Girl Dad Organics isn’t about luxury or hype. It’s about intention. Thoughtful, natural formulations. Fair pricing. And products that nourish skin instead of stripping it.
